About My Library
I've always enjoyed reading, and even though I am almost entirely blind, I still manage to work my way through plenty of books per year.

I listen to audiobooks, have the voice-over function on my iPhone read to me, and my wonderful father also reads novels aloud while I listen. I'm currently learning to read braille, and I would also like to teach it as a living.

Genres I am most interested in include:
Horror, Thriller, Adventure, Mystery, Modern Detective, True Crime, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Comedy and Biography.
About Me
I'm 19 years old, and the eldest of two sisters. I live in an absolutely beautiful area of the Republic of Ireland, and unfortunately, I'm legally blind.

My eyesight began to fail when I was eight years old, and by the time I turned sixteen, it had faded completely. The condition I suffer from is called Neurofibromatosis (Type II).

The one good thing to come from losing my vision is my guide dog, Ulan. He had this name before I got him, but it's pronounced "you-lann" and I'm told it means, "first-born" in Hebrew.

He is a golden retriever / labrador mix, and just about the nicest dog you could ever hope to meet. He's sensitive, intelligent, playful, laid-back, affectionate, loyal and protective, and at 90lbs, he's also a gentle giant.

Besides reading (see the "About My Library" section), I enjoy pottery and clay-work, light rock music, walking, browsing the internet, and playing with Ulan.
