About meHow do I get to 3,000 books in my library without my wife realizing it? I guess the fact that bookcases are in every room of the house is a tip off. I have about 200 more to go, then I promise I would slow down. But we all know that book collecting is addictive.
About my libraryI've been collecting (and reading) since I was 9. My collection consists of a cross-section of 18th-19th century literature, U.S. and European history, heavily laden with English and Russian Royalty biographies, architecture, philosophy, religion, and substantial contemporary literature.

I notice you may have recently read A second journey through Persia 1810 to 1816, I don't have a copy but a person I'm researching as part of my PhD was attached to the British Embassy in Persia from 1811 to about 1818. He was a military adviser, name Captain Hugh Macintosh ex-East India Company Army officer. I don't suppose you recall if he was mentioned in the book? Big ask, I know, but, as the saying goes "If you don't ask you don't find out"
my email address is gregjefferys27@bigpond.com if you can help.
thanks
Greg
