About My Library
The Edith H. Handelman Library of Temple Israel is one of the finest Jewish libraries in Westchester, NY. We feature the newest popular fiction and non-fiction covering important Jewish affairs. We use the Weine classification system to insure that all material is easily found according to all Jewish categories. Children's books are separated into holiday, non-fiction, and fiction selections with a newly added middle grade section and separate holocaust section. Current fiction, biographies and current affairs are always popular along with our ever expanding selection of cookbooks. Come explore!
About Me
The library is always open. We encourage all students and Temple Israel members to use the library to check out books for their reading pleasure or to just relax while waiting for student pick-ups. New books arrive weekly. To check out a book just print your name and current date in the card at the back of the book and leave it in the red box on the librarian's desk.
