About meI'm a 23-year-old girl who lives in Philadelphia with her boyfriend and the tiny tiger kitten we rescued just over a year ago, Madeline. I enjoy tattoos, piercings, cute things, makeup and bright/shiny stuff [especially glitter]. And of course, my greatest loves are books and magazines. :)

About my libraryMy taste in pretty much everything is random, including my taste in books. Beware!

Noticed you liked Girl Interrupted, and I was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Thought you might like my book since it's also about a disturbed young girl's mental illness and also a bit dark. I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like (I'm out of physical copies at the moment). Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:

Thanks,

I've enjoyed looking through your library. I work in a bookstore and like to see what people are buying/reading. It's interesting to see your diverse library in relation to your age and the generation you've grown up in. I'm glad to see that you read The Chronicles of Narnia and that it was such a good experience for you. I remember a 5th grade teacher who used to read to us and I never forgot which books he read (The Cricket in Times Square, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Charlotte's Web, The Secret Garden, and A Tale of Two Cities). When he read to us it was magical. Though I recently reread The Cricket in Times Square and it wasn't as magical. Oh well.
Have you also read One Flew Under the Cuckoo's Nest?
Just read your review on This Book Will Save Your Life - agreed with the point you made about waiting for the plot to begin. The turning point for me was when he went on the meditation course - I found it amusing and from that point on settled into the book better and started to like the character more.
