About meI learned to read at the age of 3, and haven't stopped since. I won an essay contest when I was 11 or 12 entitled "what the bookmobile means to me", because I grew up in the Florida Keys where there was no book store and no local library. I read everything in my school library, but when school was not in session I was lost. I am now a nurse practitioner and read for fun and as part of keeping up with new developments with my field.
About my libraryI have about 1000 books, mostly fiction but lots of nonfiction about everything from philosophy to gardening to biography and travel. The fiction runs to adventure, mystery, police procedurals, and scifi/fantasy.

"HOPE" is the thing with feathers--
That perches in the soul--
And sings the tune without the words--
And never stops--at all--
And sweetest--in the Gale--is heard--
And sore must be the storm--
That could abash the little Bird
That kept so many warm--
I've heard it in the chillest land--
And on the strangest Sea--
Yet, never, in Extremity,
It asked a crumb--Of Me.
Emily Dickinson (1861)

You asked what I find interesting about your library...
We share 27 titles (so far) plus your 'tags' mirror my reading preferences.
Many of the fiction titles that I have read were borrowed from public libraries, so are not yet in my LT library. I must finish listing my nonfiction books before I start my 'read but do not own' tag.
I see that you are in Florida. I lived in Panama City, Fla. in the late 1970s, before moving to England in 1980, then to Texas in 1986.
