I have many hundreds of books. I love to read series and wait until I have the set. I collect books that are not available at my local library, or in the state of Michigan.

I am a 50 year old female from Michigan. I have been married to my amazing husband Jim for almost 19 years. I have two children, Jason 28 and Kirsten 22. Jason married Katie in Oct. of 2009 and I became a Grandma on October 23, 2011. On May 14th, another granddaughter! Both of Jason and Katie's girls are beautiful! I have been disabled for over 15 years with a painful bladder disease called Interstital Cystitis. I am bedridden with pain 2-5 days a week. I started reading mystery books in 2006 and it has been a life saver for me. It helps get my mind off the pain. Then in Nov. 2008 I was in a car accident. I was hit on my drivers side corner while driving through a green light. The woman was waiting to turn left from the opposite direction and never saw me. Well, my mini van was totaled. I have been left with a mild head injury and post concussive syndrome. It has changed my life and taked the two things left that I had left that I could do and enjoy. My two loves were reading and cooking. Now it takes me 4-6 weeks to read a book instead of 5-14 days. I have a very hard time following a recipe. Doing my bills takes me three times as long. My husband has to help me find the words I am searching for when I am speaking. I have been dianosed with a mild head injury. I had to have surgery on my neck fusing two vertabre in my neck in Jan. 2012, and recovery has been slow. I have constant headaches in various degrees of pain. I also stutter, my left side in week so I use a cane to walk and my balance is terrible. Now I am fighting with my insurance to pay for treatment, as they have refused to pay for my surgery, even after going through three years of every type of treament available. No-fault insurance is no fun!
I love mysteries set in England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, as these are my native countries. I also love culinary and cozy mysteries.
