Yeah, I've had some of the same problems with PBS. The staff is not the greatest and their rules and "help" section is one of the most confusing, wordy, unwieldy documents I've ever had the misfortune to try to read. Argh!

But I *do* get some good books there, and my husband likes the CD/DVD sister sites, and so I stay. But BM is so much better. Even on the forums the level of intelligent conversation is so much higher.
Were you ranting about PBS, by chance?
I liked the book, but then I like books about sports, mountains and adventure. I also liked the fact they wanted to have real contact with the populations - not like some people who just want a very "clean" adventure with minimum contact with the locals. They sleep in uncomfortable places, the food is sometimes really bad, Nepalese kids find the use of soap really fascinating... There are some funny moments there.

I'll reserve it for you, if you want to mooch it (you have the right to change your mind, of course). If you decide to mooch, I won't be able to send it until next week, just to warn you.

Hi kineoarr! Would you beinterested in my copy of "La marche dans le ciel", as there seems to be no Belgian angel?
My copy is second hand, in ok shape.
Let me know,

Thank you, and I've mooched the book! I'm in no hurry, as I'm leaving for Eastern Europe soon and won't be in Paris until September, so send when convenient for you.

Thanks so much, kineocarr! I'm not in any hurry, so I'd wait and send the two books together. I'm just getting packed, we're heading off for a week's vacation in about an hour.

Thanks again,
- Geophile
