About meI am a school teacher in a small country town in South Australia. I have been a reader ever since my parents, also avid readers, first read to me as an infant. I read anything and everything - cereal packets, toilet roll wrappers, toothpaste tubes - anything with words!
Bookwise, I love crime fiction and in particular by women writers, but I am not really fussy. I also enjoy regency romances, historical fiction, big family sagas (especially in series), classical literature (Austen, Bronte(s), Dickens), children's literature.
My favourite activity - endeavouring to engender the love of books in 12 and 13 year old boys and girls.
About my libraryMy library is reasonably extensive - I have no idea how many books I have. I really only buy/keep the ones I think I will read again - lack of space and shelving! In addition to the range of the fiction I have written about, I have a large collection of cookery books, gardening books and craft books (quilting, embroidery, scrapbooking etc.). My husband and I also have a number of reference books on birds and animals, sport, Australia as well as the usual general interest books that seem to accrue, depending on one's interests at any given time.
So far I have only catalogued a selection of my fiction - the next job is to sort and catalogue other sections of my library.
