About meI am a children's librarian in the American southwest. My first love is fantasy, though I also read mysteries and romance. I own many editions of the Harry Potter books because they are necessary for my work with Potter fan sites, mainly The Harry Potter Lexicon and Accio Quote.

My non-fiction interests are focused on gardening, building and interior design.

About my libraryIn addition to my own collection I also have books collected by my father and his ancestors, some going back to the early 1800s.

I noticed that you have Dust of the Desert by Jack Weadock in your library. Jack Weadock was my greatuncle. I have owned the book for years, but never read it until last year. After reading it, I am proud to say that Jack Weadock was my greatuncle. I've never been to Tucson, but I'd love to visit there some day.
Hi!

I noticed that you also have a (collection? issue?) of Peterson's Magazine. :)
Do you also have the yearly collection from 1883 or is LibraryThing trying to be entirely too clever by combining our works?

(I would find it extremely amusing if we did in fact have the exact same collection issue. ;)
I've had such fun, bouncing from subject to subject in your library, dear Madam Pince. "Eclectic" would be the word. Hardly a surprise, though. What a collection of HP's you have! Again, why am I surprised? I learned about LibraryThing from the PowerPoint of your talk at the (last?) AZLA Conference and have been addicted ever since. What sort of person IS a librarian by day and still wants to play at it during home time? I do miss cataloging!

My best to you!

CJ
Similar but not quite I think - your wizard has beard and is looking face on? Mine is more of a 3/4 view with any facial hair obscured by raised arm holding card.
Hi,
well, my cover is a grey/green one. It has no fly cover - don't know if it would have originally. There is a Wizard? on the front cover holding a card and wavy lines all round him. On the back is an advert for Fry's breakfast cocoa and on the spine, a price of 1/6. I don't know which copy I have - there is no date inside - I think I must have guessed 1921 as this is last date in reprint list. The inside of the cover is printed with lists of other Pearson books. Hope this helps. - Can scan if want?
I'd love to describe the cover but I can't find it at the moment. I moved and most of my books are still in boxes waiting for shelves. It was a very old book and IIRC had no date on it. The advertising inside suggested early 20th century or late 19th.

If and when I find it I will update with more information.
