hello OW,

i can't help noting that we share quite a lot of books (48) and that these overlapping books represent quite a diversity of topics (politics, science, history, middle east, software, philosophy, religion ... even courant & robbins classic book on math and hofstadter's GEB). how did you come to have such good taste in books? :) where do you live?

cheers,
peter
Thank you for joining the Political Conservatives group! I was on vacation for a couple of weeks, and when I got back, I saw that we have several new members. Welcome!
Yes, Ken Wilber is big on spirituality, but also "integral business, medicine, politics," etc. Spiral Dynamics is a social and cultural development model KW favors. I like to read him along with Victor Davis Hanson, Bernard Lewis, Robert D. Kaplan, etc.

Leaving for a European vacation-will probably be off-line for about a month.
I agree with your review of "Bluepint for Action." I like it because it seems to be in alignment with "Spiral Dynamics" by Don Beck. Are you familiar? Ken Wilber? Since we have many other books in common, I thought you might like these authors too.
funny you should say that, I bought a tattered old Everymans edition of Edmund Burke on the French revolution just a couple of days ago. Glad you joined, better to talk to Burke conservatives than Michael moore liberals :)
