About meI've semi-retired after fifteen years as a software engineer. Since then, I've taken a page from Robert Heinlein and do anything (legal) for a buck. Just a little humor, but please check the reference.
I've included my blog link here, but I only update it about once a month. Usually, it contains nothing more than some observation I've made about life or my travels around the web.
About my libraryAfter twenty+ years of accumulation, finding this site is allowing me to catalog my thousands of books.
Comments Section
Some points to note are in the comments section. A "v" signifies that I have verified the information about that book. During verification I often edit the title, author, etc to correct incorrect or add missing data.
The series of oddball character is my location system. For example "SR1S2" shows the book is located in Spare Room (SR), bookcase 1 and on shelf 2. Other codes used are Living Room (LR), Bedroom (BR), Office (OF) or Box. Boxes are numbered and store paperbacks that I have read.
For those interested, there are 5 bookcases in my living room, 2 in my bedroom, 6 in the spare room and 4 in the office. These range from 4 to 8 shelves each and from 30 to 48 inches in width. There are also 24 full boxes with about 60 mass market paperbacks each. You do the math(LOL) as I'm still trying to get an accurate count.
My take on Star Ratings
.5 Stars - Hated it and didn't finish it
1 Star - Hated it, but finished it with difficulty
1.5 Stars - Didn't like it and had a hard time finishing it
2 Stars - Didn't like it
2.5 Stars - Didn't like it, but not a hard read
3 Stars - OK, but won't read again
3.5 Stars - OK, but may read again if nothing else available
4 Stars - Liked it, may read again
4.5 Stars - Liked it, probably will read again
5 Stars - Loved it, will read again

Was wondering if you'd be interested in reviewing my new novel and posting your comments here as well as a few other book-related sites. Saw you liked Paris Trout, and thought you might like my novel since it's also southern and a bit dark (in the same vein as Paris Trout). I could e-mail you the novel in an e-book format if you'd like. Let me know if you're interested. Here's a link to a summary in case you're interested:
