I love books that teach me something. Something that will effect my day to day. I also love a good mystery, horror, and sci-fi great! It's an eclectic bunch, but, as I am open to most recommendations, the list will get more convoluted over time.

My "rules of reading" are as follows:
1. Take suggestions. Other people know more than I about good books.
2. If, after reading more than 30 pages, there is no real connection, put the book down. It's not worth it just to say "I read that book".
3. One at a time is not always a good rule to follow.
