About me My library should give you an idea. A girl who's always seen with a book in her hand, and another one in her bag.
I'm a Classics student at Cambridge University, studying Latin literature, Greek literature, Linguistics and Art and Archaeology.

About my library This library is a collection of all my favourite books and books which I have read since I have started using LibraryThing. Instead of the standard reviews, I have decided to tell you why the books are special to me. I hope you will find them interesting to read, and perhaps inspire you to read the books as they will give a personal touch to my library. I've included some of my texts for my course too.

I like your username. :)
I am interested in Latin and Greek literature, but I am picky about the translations. I like translations that sound good in Enlish without getting too bogged down in literal specificity. Do you have an opinion on who is a good translator of Ovid. Particualarly, I am interested in the amores and heroides.
Ella - don't worry if you're the only LibraryThinger in Cambridge! If you're interested in starting a book club, there are a million ways to promote it (I'd be happy to offer suggestions). And then you can tell all your attendees about LibraryThing. My friends have all signed up, and the scary thing is it's easy to spend hours on here. ;-)

You know, you're welcome to post any future book club events on our My People Connection site. We can host events all around the world now. And nothing would make me happier than promoting book clubs & encouraging more people to read and make good new friends over books. It's free - I founded the organization when I moved to Los Angeles & didn't know anyone. We host a lot of events now that go beyond book club.

Anyway, feel free to pop in on us from time to time, and feel free to drop me a line on or off-boards, too. Reading is fun, but sharing it is even better.

Cheers,
Jen :-)
