To the best of my memory these are the books I've read so far this year.

The Christmas Chronicles: The Legend of Santa Claus byTim Slover
Large Print: an Unshelved collection by Bill Barnes and Gene Ambaum
Luann 25 years by Greg Evans
One day and one amazing morning on Orange Street by Joanne Rocklin
A piece of the sky : a novel by Michelle Buckman
Rachel's contrition : a novel by Michelle Buckman
All the World's a Stage: A Novel in Five Acts by Gretchen Woelfle
Sidekicks by Jack D. Ferraiolo
The year of the hangman by Gary Blackwood

In the future I'll try to include a little about each book I've read.

Thanks for the welcome messages!

I finished The Eyre Affair a few days ago. I have read it before but not for a few years and decided it was time for a reread.

The story is set in England in 1985 however it is an alternate reality England. Literature is taken very seriously here. Thursday Next is a LiteraTec, an officer for SpecOps-27 the department responsible for investigating literature related crimes. When famous literary manuscripts are stolen and the characters in them threatened or killed, Thursday must find out who is behind this and then try to stop them before things get really out of hand. I enjoyed the many literary allusions although what intrigues me most is the idea that there is another world inside books.

Welcome to the group. I really liked Gary Blackwood's Shakespeare novels so I'm adding The year of the hangman to my tbr list.

#7 It is one of my favorites. When I discovered that the next book is coming out in March, I decided I needed to reread the whole series before then.

#9 I'll have to check out Gary Blackwood's Shakespeare novels since I enjoyed The year of the hangman. I like reading about the Revolutionary War saw The year of the hangman on display at the library. I was interested because it asked the question, what if the British had won the war.

The latest book I have finished is The 39 Clues: The Black Book of Buried Secrets.
This book is a companion to the books in the 39 clues series. There is a section devoted to each of the 5 branches. In it the reader finds out about the history of the branch, famous agents, and where the branch strongholds are. My favorite parts were finding out more about the branch founders and the short stories that told what some of the characters of the 39 clues series are up to now. This book will likely be enjoyed by fans of the 39 clues series and especially by those who want to know more about the Cahill family.
