What do you hope for from this Book and do you think the new co-author will make a difference?

After checking out Jack DuBrul, I would say that he will definitely add adventure to the book. DuBrul is involved with car racing which shows he is adventurous. We just finished a series by James Rollins and Rebecca Cantrell and I found their books better than the books they wrote by themselves. I would have to say that two heads are definitely better than one.

Well Clive Cussler likes mentioning cars, so by the sound of it there may be even more cars in it. I've never read any Jack du Brul. Jack du Brul is now the co-author for books 3 - 9 of the series, before one of my favourite authors, Boyd Morrison, takes over.

Has anyone read any of the books Eadie listed?

The only things I have read by Jack DuBrul is what he's written with Clive Cussler. He's a good writer and I do believe he will add a great deal to the story. Looking forward to this.

I haven't read any but I've sent myself a Kindle sample of Vulcan's Forge so I can check my libraries and see if it's available.

I'm hoping for a little more characterisation and finding out a little more about the characters backstories, but not sure we will as they aren't really that style of book so far. But here's hoping.

>9 Andrew-theQM: Maybe with the addition of another author this will change eventually but I've read all of these books and individual characterization is put out very slowly. Seems that at times it is just dropped without any warning. I think it's because other than Juan there are so many of the others in the Oregon series. Actually the only character that there was lots of forthcoming info about was Dirk Pitt whose first book was written 43 years ago and he and his buddy were the only main characters in the stories even to this day.

>9 Andrew-theQM: >10 Carol420: there is more character development and backstory in this one. You don't get it for all of the characters but you do for some of them (Eddie, Mark, Linda). I'm guessing based on Carol's comment that you get more backstory for the ones more involved in a particular storyline.

>11 bhabeck: That's what I think also, Brenda. Eddie, Mark & Linda appear in all of the Oregon books but aren't always a major part of the storyline.

>11 bhabeck: >12 Carol420: At least some hope in this aspect then.

I've just read the write up for Pandora's Curse by Jack du Brul, sounds just my type of book. Got a rating of 3.73 on here and 4.13 on Goodreads. Will definitely have a look at reading this book and checking out the others in that series.
