Was Stan Jenkins to blame for the attempt on Chris’s life? Should he have been disciplined?

Stan was too forthcoming with Elaine; he let his emotions cloud his judgment. I think he should have received a stern warning for his behaviour.
I don't think Stan can be held to blame for Elaine's actions, though - she would have found out some way, sometime, about Chris's whereabouts, and done the same thing. She was already combing the area; I'm sure she'd have found them eventually.

Not disciplined especially but he should get some kind of warning. He should know that giving out information like that is a big no-no.

He should have known better but he shouldn't be prosecuted for it. Retirement sounds good though.

I agree that he should be warned and he should know better than to give out info.

Stan had gotten too involved and gave up more information than he should have in an effort to console a distraught mother. The fact that he recognized this and decided that retirement was the way to go is enough for me.
