Is there an accepted standard for when to use ‘author’ and when to use ‘contributor’ for anthologies?

(Apologies if this is the wrong place for this question.)

For anthologies I would always use "contributor" for people whose work has been anthologized, and "editor" for those who assemble the whole. I don't believe I would use "author" at all.
