- Appalachian and nationally acclaimed authors are featured in book signings and workshops, from poetry to travel writing to researching local history. Several literary workshops will be offered. The 2007 Festival boasted workshops with such noted authors as Darnell Arnoult, Belinda Smith, Dan Stryk and Tamara Baxter.
