Enemmänkin kokoelma esseitä Fassbinderin elokuvista kuin hänen elämäkertansa. Vaikka monet tekstit avasivat uudella tavalla elokuvia, jotka olin nähnyt, ongelmaksi muodostui kirjailijan kritiikitön ihailu Fassbinderin työtä kohtaan.
