Estudio "en clave de humor" de la sociedad española de los años 70, con sus luces y sus sombras. Díaz-Plaja tiene una pluma envidiable y es capaz de decir en todo momento exactamente la palabra que el concepto requiere. Esa capacidad analítica de muchos escritores humorísticos la he envidiado siempre.
El libro se queda anticuado en algunas cosas (algo hemos evolucionado desde el tardofranquismo hasta hoy, e incluso hasta los primeros noventa, cuando lo leí), pero en muchas otras cosas, soberbia, envidia, pereza, el libro sigue siendo una descripción bastante interesante sobre nuestra sociedad. Interesante lectura, sin duda. ( )
