Good beginning weaver’s book that contains basic information about a great many weaving subjects and includes hints and information about weavers around the world. The book is lavishly illustrated with color photos throughout, clear weaving drafts and many diagrams to aid in explanations of weaving skills and techniques. I really liked the author’s explanations about winding bobbins and pirns A couple of highlights are the color gamp projects and how to design and weave overshot patterns. There is a table of contents that gives you an overview of what is in the book, but the fact that there is no index makes the book less useful than it would be otherwise.
