Interesting (if occasionally annoyingly snarky) study of brownfields reclamation in England. Much of it centers around efforts in the 1960s to reclaim areas of Swansea, in Wales, though other areas in Cornwall and Lancashire are discussed. Fairly detailed analysis of the causes and possible solutions to the problems, though the usual pot-shots (some deserved, I imagine, some not) at industry and shortages of money crop up. Probably overtaken by subsequent environmental legislation. ( ) no reviews | add a review
