    I came across this book when I was looking for a Bible picture book that didn't portray Jesus as looking white or European. Not every story in this book passes that test, but the 20 illustrators involved each bring a unique style to the stories they illustrate, and together they have created a wonderfully diverse introduction to the Bible.
