For me personally, village life is not so idyllic as the back cover of this book wants us to believe. At livibg in a village I look more from the practical side: less stores to do grocery shopping, big(ger) distance to schools, library and other necessary things, let alone the curiosity, envy and other not so nice emotions.

The book itself was nice to read. A missing baby, a body, then another dead body, that is the basis for the story. Only bear the end does the reader find out what and how, together with the investigating officer. That is nice, I liked that, because for most thrillers it is a lot easier to guess the ending.
That I fave it only 3.5 stars is because it didn't really grab me, like e.g. [Cupido] by Jiliane Hoffmann (one that I also read in German). ( )
