It is love at first site for Ryan. He goes along with Jennifer's plan. He agrees with her mother to rush the wedding. He doesn't want to let Jennifer go. He wants to win her over. Ryan also needs to come to terms with the truth about his birth and adoption.
Jennifer thinks she needs to control everything. She sees someone helping as them taking over. She needs to realize her parents are not what she has built up in her head.
