This was a great setting supplement for the Cyberpunk 2020 RPG, based on the George Alec Effinger novel When Gravity Fails. I never actually played the game in this setting, but I certainly lifted things from this book for use in more typical settings, and I would not have been opposed to playing in this setting itself if the opportunity presented itself.

This book, in retrospect, carried off the mood and themes of the novel well, and presented them in a way that lent itself to being used effectively in a game, as I recall. Now that I've read the novel, finally -- something I've been meaning to do for almost twenty years -- I appreciate having had the pleasure of enjoying this roleplaying game supplement when it was new.

If you get your hands on a copy of it and feel like playing Cyberpunk 2020 a bunch, as the world becomes more and more cyberpunk in the year 2020 and (presumably) afterward, give it a whirl. It should be interesting. If you find you don't like this book, maybe you could send it to me. ( )
