Fort Ticonderoga had a rather short, but lively history. It was built as Fort Carillon by the French in 1755, then renamed by the British in 1759. In 1775 it was seized by Americans, then later abandoned and finally destroyed by the British in 1777. This book follows the fort{u2019}s history, with focus on the years 1755-1759 and 1775-1777.
