Fantasy. Fiction. Literature. Romance. HTML:

Alfred's always been the pack's trouble maker. He's given up hope of ever being anything else. But, could that change when he suddenly receives the love of a mate?

Caden's never had any trouble convincing other wolves to do what he wants. He might not have his brother's status, size or grumpy personality, but that doesn't matter. He's always found smiles and flirtations to be far more effective than any of those things anyway.

When Caden sets his sights on Alfred, he knows he'll need every trick he's ever acquired if he's to have any chance of reforming the pack trouble maker into a good wolf and a first-rate potential mate. However, that might not be the only obstacle they face—the rest of the pack might yet prove to be their biggest challenge of all.

Reader Advisory: This book is best read in sequence as part of a series and also contains scenes of non-sexual violence.

My favourite in this quartet! Caden and Alfred just felt really right to me. Even though Alfred is so fucking stubborn, he did need a little shove in the right direction and Calden give him a bloody kick.

I think that Alfred will be a great beta just because he'd been holding himself back for so long! What made this book also stand out for me was that the didn't have sex right off the bat. Plus, readers always want what they can't have. So when I finally got it, the big finish, I felt like I had accomplished something.

Caden is so sweet and mischievous at the same time, I wouldn't be able to resist kidnapping him. ( )

Really enjoyed this one! I wasn't sure how I felt about Alfred getting his own story (since he was such a brat in the other books!), but I love the reason for it and how Kim Dare told the story. Out of this series, I'd have to say this is my second favorite (I still love the first one more!). ( )
