This book was enormously helpful during our recent trip to Vienna, Salzburg, Hohenschangau, and Munich. While we didn't stay at any of his more economical lodgings, his descriptions of each place and guide to what was worth seeing and what was skippable were very helpful. Steves' enthusiasm for travel comes through in his writing, making it enjoyable to read. And the book doesn't weigh a ton, either. ( )
