The cover says its's "A primer for everyone worried about the future of civilization." A wonderfully reassuring handbook for parents and more distant relatives; other people have met all your problems and more, and survived with nerves and health more or less intact. "Start as you mean to go on" seems to be the message, and Miss Manners offers sane suggestions about where to start. ( )
