If I had read this on my own, it would have just gotten 3 stars, but because I read it with my 6 year old daughter, who laughed every page, this book gets 4 stars. Dan Gutman clearly knows that these kids are looking for in a book. This is the perfect series to get young readers hooked on reading. We will be reading many more from this series. ( )

Mrs. Lilly, a crazy local reporter, shows up for career day at Ella Mentry School to teach the kids how to write sensational news articles that can turn it into front-page news. A.J. and the other kids begin interviewing every teacher they can. Once they've got the stories however, they begin throwing in their own details which ends up causing lots of trouble at Ella Mentry School.
