I must admit that I really didn't like Tater as much as the other mates. For some reason he just really rubbed me the wrong way and I could definitely relate to Olsen at the picnic when he basically told him to grow up.. I'll admit that if this had been a stand-alone I likely wouldn't have finished it. ( )

The third bear finds his mate in this book, as was becoming obvious at the end of the last. Olson and Tater have quite some obstacles to overcome. Initially, they are only misunderstandings between the two, but later on some external forces join the battle that make it almost impossible for the two mates to get together.

Tater has many issues, and as far all he has done in his life is drift, hide or run. None of those are possible any longer, and Tate really struggles to accept his new life. All of that fades in comparison with the physical attack and changes he ends up facing - he certainly doesn't have an easy time of it. I doubt he'd be able to deal without Olson helping him.

Olsen is confused by Tater's back and forth behavior (as was I, it was a bit tiring), but once he understands the cause, he hangs on with the true stubbornness of a bear. He supports his mate all the way and doesn't let anyone or anything get between them.

If you like stories about shifters and other paranormal beings, if unexplained attacks and solving mysteries attract you and if you want to know how the whole Brac Pack world develops, you will probably like his book. There is a lot more of the overarching story in this book than in some volumes, and it really moved everything forward quite a lot. From the looks of it, more interesting times are ahead. ( )

This one is not one of my favorites. Tater is all over the place, and has some serious phobia against commitment...
