Ron Brooks is definitely an award-winning illustrator. The illustrations in this book are breath-taking. From a dark and gloomy beginning to a colorful and hopeful ending, Brooks illustrations really do paint a picture of the emotions throughout the story. I also like the author's purpose which is finding your self identity and being confident with who you are. The only con about this book is that the font is in cursive writing. Sometimes cursive writing is harder to read rather than reading print. Besides that the book was AMAZING and I LOVED IT!!!! Bravo! ( )
