This book, although historical in basis, would be a great addition to a STEM library, as it describes in detail the process of ice harvesting, the tools needed, refrigeration, and how all of this was developed. It as a great example of a real life situation in which engineering is used in practical ways that each and every child has experienced. Media: mixed media. THis book is a good example of an informational book because it gives factual information and dates and pictures to go with it. It tells how the ice business began and where it has gone. I like this book because not only does it have pictures of what things were like back two hundred and a hundred years ago, but it also has chartoon like characters that kids are used to seeing. no reviews | add a review
