This story was about the Big Bad Wolf from the Three Little Pigs fairy tale trying to find a new story to be a part of. Young readers who pick up this book would have fun seeing what the Wolf gets up to, and the trouble he causes in the tales that he jumps into. It is a great book for young readers who love the original fairy tales. ( )

The Big Bad Wolf is fed up with huffing and puffing, so off he goes in search of a new fairy tale. As the wolf runs from page to page the book of fairy tales becomes a great mixed-up mess. This silly fairy tale is sure keep you laughing from beginning to end!

The Big Bad Wolf has had enough of his fairy tale, "The Three Little Pigs." He decides to go on a journey to find a nice, relaxing story to be a part of. He finds Cinderella, Rupunzel, Hansel and Gretel, and a whole cast of other fairy tale creatures. Will he find a new tale to be a part of? Or will all of the fairy tales get mixed up, ending in disaster? Along with the fun and crazy story line, Melanie Williamson's illustrations are captivating. This book is great for kindergarteners and grade schoolers and will keep children wondering which fairy tale characters and plotlines will appear next.

My daughter (4) loves fairy tales so she liked seeing all of her favorites in this one story. This book was "okay." I'm glad I read it but felt like they skipped through the fairy tales too fast. I would have liked for them to have spent a little longer on each fairy tale and done fewer of them.

Pros: Kids who *know* fairy tales will laugh through the wolf's attempts to try on different stories.

I really only thought it was okay, and it's painfully lacking any originality or wittiness, but I did enjoy the pictures and it still does have its place as a spin on fractured fairy tales. So, in all fairness, if its weakness lies in the fact there's nothing really funny or clever here, it's also a strength because this makes it quite appropriate for any toddler/preschooler too. I was slightly more charmed by its sister book: [b:The Great Nursery Rhyme Disaster|6238800|The Great Nursery Rhyme Disaster|David Conway|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1347420703s/6238800.jpg|6421542], although that one suffered the exact same issues ...
