Finding the courage to trust your heart can be the hardest thing of all...

Dexter Yates has the looks, the money, the swanky apartment, and girlfriends galore. But it's not until his niece, Delphi, is born that Dex falls in love for the first time in his life.

Then tragedy strikes when Dex's sister Laura dies in an accident. Suddenly, Dex finds himself a new parent and a single father to boot. With no idea how to raise an eight-month-old baby girl on his own, Dex decides to move into his weekend home in the small village of Briarwood in the Cotswolds.

The quirky neighborhood welcomes him with open arms, especially next—door neighbor and gifted cartoonist Molly who offers to help with Delphi. Molly won't put up with any nonsense and her messy romantic past makes her cautious.

If they can learn to trust each other, there might be a happily-ever-after for all three.

A fresh and fun British women's fiction and a great romantic book with plenty of humor and friendship.

Fans of Meg Cabot, Sophie Kinsella, Helen Fielding and Jennifer Weiner will love Mansell's quirky humor and the "will they, won't they" relationship between Molly and Dex.

Jill Mansell just gets better and better her books are probably my favourite in the modern chick-lit category. The characters are well developed and grow and change throughout the story. ( )

from the new book box, only it's not so new any more. Nice English contemporary romance. Dex and Molly are the main characters - will they become a couple? And some other couples turn up also. Good plot. ( )

A light by but enjoyable book.

Dexter, man about town, suddenly has to take life seriously when his sister dies and he is left as guardian of a small baby. The only person who believes that he can make it work is Molly, who lives in a pretty country village where Dexter recently bought a second home.

Hoping for help with childcare, and also to bring up his niece in a better environment, Dexter moves to the country full time.

Lots of single characters, who all get paired up over the duration. And couple of clever twists, which it would be a shame to reveal. I spotted one coming, but that is to the credit of the writer as she wrote the character so that one sensed a motive beyond the obvious one. ( )

After reading "To the Moon and Back" and falling in love with it, I had to get my hands on any other Jill Mansell's books I could find. I only find one of her newest "Don't Want to Miss a Thing". I enjoyed the book very much, and not only the main characters story but all the other characters as well. Jill has a way of making everything and everyone connected in her talented writer's web, creating a perfect story from characters to emotions to setting and EVERYTHING else. I adore her books, can't wait to get the rest. ( )
