I had my 7 year old Grandson read this one with me. He could relate to playing sports, but not the Dad not being there. His is there, and he was upset for Gary. He was surprised that Gary had a cell phone! How come I don't have oneā€¦.you are to young!
He seemed to enjoy the story and did well with his reading. He like the pictures of the rainbow, but didn't like Gary being left alone at the park.
Think there was a good learning lesson here, although he always has a parent of his own to take him to his sporting events, he knows that others are not always as fortunate.

I received this book through Pump Your Book Virtual Tours, and was not required to give a positive review. ( )
