Crosby the crab sees things on his beach he has never seen before. He decides to leave his shack and see what is out in the world. He goes into the ocean and begins his travels and adventures. He meets a seal pup who shows him the ocean but leaves when a whale shows up. Turns out the whale is not as scary as Crosby thought and they become friends.

I enjoyed this story. It is fun and cute! The illustrations are adorable. I liked that Crosby was open to adventures. I also liked that Crosby found his place in the world. The vocabulary is not always what you see in children's books, but I like that children are not sold short on their vocabulary. Good for your 3-6 year olds. ( )
