Good. window into girls schools on 1940s. Dr. Basil Wintersomething .. psychaitrist brought in to figure things out. All about lead waifish character with an apparent doppleganger causing murder and mischief! overwrought stylistically also a window into old fashioned ladies writing. still... would read more if i could get them easy- but they're expensive- this one was an ILL. Who knew that the idea of a doppelganger could scare me so much that I had to go to bed with the lights on! This was a well written story, though the ending let me down. Some very creepy moments, and some good sleuthing by McCloy's regular detective, psychiatrist Dr Basil Willing. ( )
