Author/illustrator Victoria Kahn presents six Pinkalicious stories in this anthology, four of which were originally published as early readers from HarperCollins' I Can Read series, and two of which were published as smaller storybooks. The selections here include:

The Pinkerrific Playdate, in which Pinkalicious has her new friend Rose (whose acquaintance she made in Purplicious) over for a playdate...

Pinkalicious and the Pink Hat Parade, in which both Pinkalicious and her brother Peter enter the hat contest held at their annual neighborhood party. When Pinkalicious wins for her flowery creation, she is uncharacteristically generous to Peter...

The Princess of Pink Slumber Party, in which Pinkalicious invites three friends to a sleepover, and finds that she must comfort one of them...

Pinkalicious: Flower Girl, in which Pinkalicious and Peter imagine all sorts of things, while trying to figure out what a Flower Girl is and does...

Pinkalicious: Soccer Star, in which Pinkaclicious experiences some insecurity about her pink outfit during a soccer game, but is aided by Goldie (her golden unicorn, first seen in Goldilicious) in a trans-world journey that restores her confidence...

And finally, Pinkalicious and the Pinktastic Zoo Day, in which Pinkalicious must find a way to get her teddy bear back, when she is kidnapped by one of the monkeys at the zoo...

Although not a fan of this character, and the books devoted to her adventures, I do think that Pinkalicious: The Pinkamazing Storybook Collection will hold appeal for those children who are admirers of Victoria Kann's creation. For my part, I was pleased to see Pinkalicious being generous and thoughtful, in Pinkalicious and the Pink Hat Parade, because her obnoxious behavior, generally speaking, is something I dislike about the books. Other than that, however, I didn't find too much here that I liked. The artwork is every bit as flat as in the main storybooks, and the prose uninteresting. Recommended primarily to determined fans of the character. ( )
