Work InformationWalden and Resistance to Civil Government [Norton Critical Edition] by Henry David Thoreau
![]() None No current Talk conversations about this book. ![]() Rather dreary after awhile. I can understand why Emerson hid out in his attic when he saw Thoreau coming from his "cabin in the woods". There are some wonderful parts, but there is also a lot of heavy going. I think I would read it in an anthology if I did it over, to the gasp of my high school English & History teachers. no reviews | add a review
