Tonight's sinful dessert special...Valentine's Fantasy

The tasty dish from Benedict restaurant is everything Jessica Lafayette could want... or crave. And it's not the dessert in front of her--it's her waiter. A guy with dark, intense eyes that suggest he wants to slowly lick whipped cream off her skin. A smile so wicked it makes her insides lava-cake gooey. And a too-hot-to-handle body that was meant to be tasted...

Yup, Sam The Waiter is better than chocolate.

But what Jessica doesn't know is that her one-night-waiter is actually Sam Benedict, Upscale Restaurateur. And that her little lie about being from out of town is going to turn into a Big Deal. Now Jessica is in deep hot chocolate... because her Valentine Fantasy is starting to look a lot like a red-hot reality!

*I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review*

One night Sam Benedict, owner of the famous restaurant Benedict, is working as a waiter, because one of his employees had to miss work, one of the couples having dinner at the restaurant catches his attention. More specifically the woman, to whom he feels immediately attracted and cannot understand what she is doing with that jackass… And a jackass is what he proves to be when he fakes an emergency to leave before dessert and leaving her stuck with the bill.

Mortified and humiliated, Jessica Lafayette ends up leaving her hotel key card instead of her credit card and Sam decides to go after her to the hotel and taking her the dessert she ended up not having, the specialty Valentine Fantasy. Sam and Jessica end up spending the night together and keep contact by email. Because they’ve both kept things from each other: Sam that he is, in fact the famous Benedict, owner of the homonymous restaurant; and Jessica that she doesn’t really live in another town. Both want more than one night, but can they be forgiven for their lies?

An interesting novella, with an amusing premise and very hot scenes, that is a good and fast read. ( )

Jessica is on a first date, enjoying her dinner but her date is turning out to be a real dud. The smokin' hot waiter. though. gains her full attention once her date ditches her and stiffs her for the dinner tab. Then she accidentally lets her room key card as payment, instead of her credit card. When Sam tracks Jessica to her hotel room, bringing her a Valentine Fantasy dessert, misunderstandings are left in limbo as their attraction heats up.

I loved this sizzling, sexy afternoon quickie! The characters were delightful, along with the romantic storyline. The chemistry between Jessica and Sam was electric and the sex, erotic and of course, explicit (which totally works for me…lol). Unfortunately, there just weren't enough sex scenes and the ending was a bit too abrupt for me, but everything else was just perfect. I would absolutely, highly recommend it to all my fellow erotic romance readers! ( )
