What happens in Vegas doesn't always stay in Vegas in this "funny, sexy, sweet, laugh-out-loud romance"-Harlequin Junkie from the New York Times bestselling author of Somebody Like You. Cocktail waitress Sophie Dalton doesn't exactly have a life plan. She's perfectly happy being everyone's favorite party girl. But when a Las Vegas bachelorette party goes awry and an uptight businessman mistakes Sophie for a prostitute . . . well, Sophie wonders if it's time to reevaluate her priorities. Swearing off her thigh-high boots for good, Sophie slinks back home with damaged pride-and a jackpot of a hangover. Yet what happens in Sin City doesn't always stay there. On a trip to Seattle to open a new office, Grayson Wyatt meets his latest employee-who turns out to be the same woman he recently called a hooker. Wealthy and gorgeous, Gray is a man used to getting what he wants. And it doesn't take long to figure out that smart, sassy, sexy Sophie is everything he's been looking for. As their late nights at the office turn into hot morning-afters, they realize their Vegas misunderstanding may lead to the real thing . . . Contains mature themes.… (more)

Received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

This book has a meet cute, I love you I hate you I love you type relationships, sassy female characters and cute bajillionaires and yet it just didn't hold up for me like Layne's books normally do. This was her first book (though not publication wise) and I'm glad I read others before this one. It was okay but she has definitely grown as an author since she started out. ( )

I thought it was pretty damn excelent, this book. I liked that the romance didn't just exploded in your face and it kept building up this sexual tension that made even me feel uncomfortable. The ending was so freaking cute, it went on my 'cutest ending' list. There were just some aspects of Gray's personality that bugged me a little, but it got better. ( )

DNF. I liked the beginning, setup, plot, along with Sophie & Grayson's snarky banter. However, I felt this novel dragged. So much so, that by the time I got 50% through I had to give it up because I couldn't stand the back-and-forthness of Sophie & Grayson's emotions on how they felt about each other. It just made it hard to get through.

Yet, for the right person, I still DO recommend it to those who like contemporary romances! ( )

Loved loved loved this book! Written with all the humor I have come to love in Lauren Layne's books, this is a very entertaining read. Grayson and Sophie are a very unlikely pair and the hilarious banter between the two just made me smile. I could just picture Gray shaking his head at Sophie every time. Polar opposites that simply would never work. But the attraction is strong and will not be denied. Put this one on the must read list. I highly recommend it. ( )

Only with You by Lauren Layne is a sweet and sassy romance between free-spirited Sophie Dalton and her withdrawn boss Grayson Wyatt. The polar opposites bump heads constantly and their love/hate relationship is downright hilarious.

“You’d think they were watching gladiators,” he said.
“I’d be the gladiator,” Sophie replied.
“You’d be whatever weakling they throw in there, who gets mutilated.”

Sophie initially comes across as a complete ditz whose life is on a downward spiral. My first thought was wow this girl is a complete train wreck. She completely surprised me with how much she grows as a character throughout the book. She ends up being a perfect match for Gray's awkward and lackluster social skills.

Gray's past has left him damaged and he does not trust very easily. He tries to connect with people but it comes across as stilted and unnatural. Sophie definitely brings him out his shell.

Overall, Only with You is a fun and quick read. It has all the essentials for a feel good contemporary romance. Well-written and filled with witty dialogue and sexy tension this romantic comedy will keep you hooked all the way to the end. A perfect escape read for a lazy afternoon if you love work place and love/hate romantic stories.
