Disambiguation notice
A Greek grammar for colleges was first published in 1920. An edition revised by Gordon M. Messing was published as Greek grammar in 1956. These are essentially the same work (Messing's preface states that "even the much less ambitious revision of Smyth as originally conceived has not been possible" and that "the present revision of Smyth ... might more modestly be termed a corrected reprint"). However, this work should not be combined with A Greek grammar for schools and colleges (1916), an earlier and much shorter work.
