This is a well written collection of short stories that concern alpha military males who meet up with sweet, women who all entice them to involvements they had not thought of. Each story is well developed, with good characters, with great chemistry between them. In short stories, an author sometimes has some difficulty developing a story in a short space and time, but, in this case, the author has done a superb job. There are references to her other, longer related works, but it is not really all that necessary to have read them. However, the reader may get more out of the stories and/or enjoy them more if he/she has read them. Likewise, these stories can serve as a tidbit to entice the reader into exploring the stories more in the other, longer books. I will not go into detail about the stories because I do not want to include spoilers, but suffice it to say, these are all quick, interesting reads—what readers have come to expect and receive from the author. Not every story will be as great to every reader as they are to others, but I am quite sure a reader will find these tales welcoming enough and interesting enough to take time the time to savor them. They make an excellent summer read because they are stories and can be read all at once or a bit at a time as time and situations allow. I received this from Goodreads to read and review. (
