Spellbound In His Arms is an exciting mystery. I liked the car chases the best, but the fire fights and close calls were cool too. Without giving anything away, I'll just say you'll never guess the ending. ( )

I hate giving bad reviews, but this 1/2 star book needed a LOT of work. A beta reader would've been a great help in fixing the confusing plot. There were so many nondescript characters and names that half the time I didn't know who was who, or what in the world was going on. Half the dialogue was ridiculous, meaningless filler. The other half was over-dramatic and forced. I was tempted to start a drinking game every time I read "What now?"

I never did understand what Jackie hoped to accomplish by visiting the mansion on her uncle's behalf. If she was trespassing and worried about being caught by the police, why did she bring food to stock the fridge and plan to stay a few days? And she does this just after a miraculous recovery from a car wreck. That's just one example of the conflicting information contained in this book. I got that she (and Michael) were searching for the man responsible for killing the Demiris heirs, but Jackie was hopelessly stupid and repeatedly walked right into danger. Don't get me started on how many times she swooned and fainted away from the stress she put herself in.

I actually felt a little sorry for Michael having to save her...over and over and over... The romance was non-existent and the law enforcement came across like keystone cops. The action was unrealistic and everything moved to fast. As a reader I need a chance to breathe and absorb what's happening. This read like a bad fanfic and I was really disappointed. From the summary, I had expected so much better. Thankfully I only spent 99 cents on it. ( )

Loved the book!!!

I downloaded “Spellbound in your arms” looking for wonderful novel, intrigued by the title and the beautiful book cover. I fell in love with Angel Sefer’s novel. She has a wonderful writing style and the plot was extremely appealing.

She interweaves with an amazing skill, mystery, danger, romance and a lot of unexpected twists and turns. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good mystery.

The story takes place on a beautiful Greek Island. Jackie a beautiful investigative reporter and Michael a very attractive detective find themselves thrown together in this intriguing plot, trying to solve a murder that has put the heirs to an incredible fortune of Greek Tycoon Andreas Demiris in gave danger.

I was totally captivated and drawn to the story like a magnet. I just couldn’t put the book down. I was charmed by the amazing job Anger Sefer did to help you feel the emotions of her characters and keep you glued to the pages.

The simmering desire that develops between Jackie and Michael is wonderful. It is a real page-turner. At the end of the story I found myself wanting more…I am hoping there is another book coming from the same author.

This is one of those books I would describe as a guilty pleasure. Angel Sefer knows how to bring suspense, innocence, drama and heat into a story.

Our protagonist, Jackie, is a forthright woman with the desire to solve the mystery as to why so many people in the Demiris family are dying. Enter Michael, a hot Grecian police detective, and the sparks begin to fly.

Spellbound in His Arms is a great addition to the romantic suspense genre. Readers of J.D. Robb and Maggie Shayne will love this book! ( )
