With "Mother Goose" edited by Bendon, children can read all the nursery rhymes that have been passed down through many years. In this book, there are many rhymes that have anthropomorphisms, whether that be lion, or the make believe unicorn. I would use this book with kindergartners, to get them acquainted with rhyming. In a lesson I would have them give examples of their own rhymes based on these nursery rhymes. ( )
