It was nice to finally see Kyle get a happy ending. I really liked him as a character but I didn't care much for the heroine. Somehow she seemed weak and not good enough for him. I don't know who's left to have a book but I hope there is someone. I love this series and want it to go on and on. I absolutely love Brenda Novask's writing. Whiskey Creek is a favorite series of mine. Kyle, however, was not a big favorite of mine. His story changed my mind. It also reminded that in every story there is another side. In this case there are three: Olivia, Kyle and Noelle. Not being fond of Kyle, I wasn't sure how well I would enjoy his story. I loved it! Brenda Novak continues to take a person I didn't like and make them likable. She doesn't shy away from difficult situations or ugly people. She tackles them both with a gusto, making them human and showing that there can be a solution to any problem. no reviews | add a review
Kyle Houseman believes that he'll never find anyone he could love as much as Olivia Arnold, who's now married to his stepbrother. Not only did he lose her, he's been through one divorce and has no desire to go through another. He's determined to be extra careful about the next woman he gets involved with - which is why he fights his attraction to the beautiful stranger who rents his farmhouse for the Christmas holiday. Lourdes Bennett is a country music artist. She's only planning to stay in Whiskey Creek long enough to write the songs for her next album - the album that's going to put her back on top. Her dreams don't include settling in a town even smaller than the one she escaped. But as she comes to know Kyle, she begins to wonder if she'd be making a terrible mistake to leave him behind...
