First Edition, short story ( )

I don't know why but I had a bit of trouble liking the narrator's voice. But once we got to the arrival of his friend, the story got better.

Ignore the fact that this is bdsm. The fact is alluded to but the action of it is vague and almost an out of body experience which is how we the reader see it. This was a story so tender and full of love it was impossible not to enjoy it. ( )

I really enjoyed this story. A great story incorporating the repeal of DADT, along with the fear of "what comes next" and "will he want to stay" with retirement and the freedom that comes with it. Very touching. Loved these MC's and I would love to see more of their journey as they combat an open life together. ( )
