Interesting review of the benefits and short comings of the Common Core State Standards along with many great ideas on how to teach reading/writing/speaking/listening skills that students will need to succeed in the future. As with other Gallagher books, I came away with the wish that I had more time in the day to teach so I could implement more of these ideas. Really, I think I'd like more time to plan so I can prioritize and focus on bigger impact activities. ( )
